Uma had triplets! This is not very common for a ewe lamb, even in Finnsheep. One is a white ewe lamb, Emmi, also known as "bunny-rabbit". The other two are piebald (spotted) ram lambs, who are now wethers (neutered males). The larger one, Panda, is a more typical looking piebald. He is mostly black with a little bit of white on his body. The smaller one, Sparky, has very unique markings. These markings are unusual even in Finland! He is mostly white with black spots around his eyes and a few black spots on his body. Technically, piebalds are a black sheep with a spotting gene. So genetically Sparky is a black sheep with an enormous white spot!
Sparky was very tiny when he was born and later developed pneumonia. Due to excellent veterinary help and Sparky's strong will to survive, Sparky is not only alive but thriving! For this reason, he is still known as "Sparky the miracle lamb". Sparky is still the smallest lamb in our flock, but he makes up for lack of size with extra personality!
All three of Uma and Rammy-lamby's lambs have the same friendly calm personality that their parents have.
