"Number 16"( Martti x Uma)
Number 16 and his mother Uma are the self-appointed "greeters" at our farm. They come up to be petted by everyone, even the vet! Number 16 was a bottle lamb that I had sold as a fiber pet. The buyer put down a deposit, but then never came to get him! So he is still here and is a very nice sheep. His wool is pure white with a tight crimp. His name is "Number 16" because we only name the sheep that are our "keepers". Because I was selling him, he never got a regular name. By the time it was clear that his buyer wasn't going to claim him, he had already learned his "name" -- not just 16, but "Number 16"!
