Annika's Pedigree

Annika is an F2 (second generation) of out the imported semen from Finland. Her sire is Usko and her dam is Lumi. Her father is black but carries a recessive gene for brown, so there is a 50% chance that she could carry for brown also.

She was our smallest lamb from the 2006 lamb crop, and the smallest of a set of quads. She became a bottle lamb because she could not compete for nursing time against her three larger siblings. However, we decided to keep her for our flock because we felt that she had the best birth coat out of all the colored ewe lambs. A good birth coat is usually an indication that a sheep will have a nice consistent fleece as as an adult.

Annika is very cute and knows it!
